Sumo is seeking an experienced hands-on Search Marketing Guru with proven skills in the SEM / SEO and Online Marketing fields.
You will join a team of experienced creative online professionals and will be a key part of the group responsible for defining and implementing online marketing strategies for clients across a number of industries. Sumo works with a broad range of clients from start-ups to multinational corporates.
This role involves running multiple campaigns, primarily across the search discipline with a view to deliver high end measured results that maximise client’s online exposure whilst giving them excellent ROI.
Duties include:
- developing an in-depth understanding of client business objectives
- implementing, analysing and optimizing both paid and organic search campaigns
- working with our technical team and senior strategist to define and implement key SEO changes on client sites
- be experienced with bid management tools and technologies
- be confident in managing multiple campaigns, budgets and client spends and internal billing
- define and implement a range of search marketing strategies and be able to contribute to the effectiveness of other e-marketing approaches, such as SMS, MMS and email
- have the ability to proactively up-sell the above components when opportunities arise
- be willing to stay up to date on all facets of Paid and Organic opportunities
- document all strategies and creative for clients and their search campaigns
- creatively prepare paid search copy with excellent use of language and grammar
- monitor, research and present on industry and search specific updates
The ideal candidate will possess:
- 2 to 3 years demonstrable experience managing Paid and / or Organic Search campaigns or online
- marketing experience (within an agency or in a freelance capacity)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Good time management skills and be able to prioritise multiple tasks
- Good analytical and numerical skills with excellent attention to detail
- Skilled at report generation and presentation
- An ability to adapt well to new technology and communicate technical functionality in layman’s terms
- An understanding of HTML, Flash and other digital technologies is preferred but not essential
- A knowledge of web analytics packages is essential
- Qualifications from respected search facilities are a plus.
- Evidence of successful search and online marketing strategy implementation with a focus on ROI.
