  • People who frequently move house and don’t want to wait for NBNTM or ADSL connections, which can sometimes take one or two years for NBNTM.
  • People who can’t access NBNTM or ADSL, or are a long way from ADSL exchange can enjoy HWB which uses a Wi-Fi connectivity without the hassle of underground wires.

Intro Sumo Home Wireless Broadband:

The single most beneficial aspect of Sumo’s Home Wireless Broadband (HWB) is our customers’ immediate access to internet without delays or waiting around for wire connections. How does it work?

While most internet services such as ADSL or NBNTM rely on physically connectivity through ground cables or you existing phone line, our Home Wireless Broadband is delivered via the mobile network. That means no wait times and no expensive installation fees.

Standard internet options these days can take up to one, or even two years to get connected to NBNTM and ADSL and even when the connection is made, many customers are not satisfied with the internet speed. If you’re a renter rather than a homeowner, you will likely experience the hassle and wait every time you move. Sumo’s Home Wireless Broadband allows us to bring the internet to you no matter your existing connectivity, and modems are generally dispatched within a day of ordering.

The Details:

  • HWB runs on the Optus 4G mobile network so customers can enjoy instantaneous internet access and avoid the obstacles and wait times that accompany installing underground cables.
  • Anyone can sign of for HWB whether you’ve just moved and have no internet access, if you’re waiting for your NBNTM connection, or if you’re just not happy with your NBNTM and ADSL speeds.
  • Speeds with HWB are up to 12 Mbps (which requires 2300Mhz access), and comes with 250GB with add-on options available.
  • The cost is only $70 per month on its own with options for additional discounts when bundled with electricity and gas.
  • Customers have the option to pay-off the $189 Huawei modem fee up-front (which includes delivery and GST) or they can opt for interest-free instalments over 12 or 24 months.
  • The voice option is an additional $10 which includes unlimited local and national calls.
  • The best part? No lock-in contracts, HWB runs on a month by month term. Get in and out when you need to.

Speeds: How fast is the HWB connection?

  • Where Optus towers support the 2300Mhz frequency, maximum speeds are 12/1Mbps for downloads and uploads.
  • In other areas, maximum speed is 5/1 Mbps

Data: How much do I get with HWB?

  • In Australia, customers enjoy 250GB, with an additional 10GB for $10 if the initial data is exceeded. The additional 10GB can be applied ten times.
  • Speed slows to 256kbps when 250GB is exceeded and service is blocked at a threshold of 300GB.
