Your Safety Comes First
Please take every precaution during this severe weather event. Floodwaters are dangerous and unpredictable. Keep these safety tips in mind:
• Never drive, walk, or ride through floodwater—it’s one of the most dangerous things you can do.
• Stay clear of fast-moving creeks, storm drains, and rising water—find the highest safe ground.
• Protect your vehicle by moving it to higher ground and away from flood-prone areas.
• Avoid downed powerlines—always assume they are live and extremely dangerous. Stay at least 8 meters away.
• If you see fallen or low-hanging wires, call support immediately.

For life-threatening emergencies, call 000 immediately.

If your power goes out, contact your local energy distributor. They own and manage the poles and wires that power your home.
